Sudan's “million person marches” halted a military power grab, forcing an agreement on power sharing signed yesterday, but which still must be constitutionally codified. In a new op-ed titled, “Sudan: Hidden Economic Stakes in Ongoing Power Struggle,” the Enough Project’s Senior Advisor Dr. Suliman Baldo sheds light on the kleptocratic system built under the regime of President Omar al-Bashir and the economic stakes influencing the actions of Sudan’s Transitional Military Council.
