Hey there,
This is a big deal. The Republican Attorney General of Mississippi has asked the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Republican legislatures across the country have been rushing to pass restrictions on abortion access in the hopes that the Supreme Court will not only uphold them, but will also strike down Roe in the process. Last week’s filing from Mississippi brings us one step closer to that disastrous outcome.
Will you rush a contribution to Maura to send a clear message that access to safe and legal abortion must be protected for all Americans?

We can’t go back, friend. 25 million women and girls live in states that are expected to ban abortion should the Supreme Court allow it. Abortion is already inaccessible for too many – we should be focused on breaking down those barriers, not building more. We fought hard for the right to safe, legal abortion, and we cannot allow Republican AGs to take it away.
This is just the latest example of Republican AGs acting as major players in efforts to roll back civil rights, particularly for people of color. Republican AGs are in court now, trying to end DACA, prevent President Biden from tackling the climate crisis, and gutting our voting rights.
And of course, Republican AGs were complicit in Trump’s attempts to undermine the integrity of our elections and overturn the 2020 election results. The Republican Attorneys General Association even helped recruit attendees to the deadly January 6th Capitol riot.
Enough is enough. Maura won’t stand for these attacks on the rights of the American people. Her team was in court fighting Trump’s illegal policies for years, and they won’t shy away from challenging their Republican counterparts. But she needs your help. Will you rush a contribution to support the People’s Lawyer as she works to stop Republican AGs from rolling back our rights and blocking efforts to move our country forward?
