John: The GOP has made it clear that 2021 is the year they try and take me out.

FIRST — House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy pulled a late-night stunt to try and remove me from the House Intelligence Committee.

When that failed they sent in Donald Trump, who has released statements and used his platform at supporter rallies and conventions like CPAC to call me things like “lightweight,” all in hopes of smearing my character. 

NEXT followed Mo Brooks, who threatened to “throw me in jail” for suing him for his role in the insurrection, and Marjorie Taylor Greene, who allowed her senior staff to accost me for continuing to wear a mask in the halls of Congress in order to protect my too-young-to-be-vaccinated children.

NOW → Tucker Carlson and the rest of FOX News won’t leave me alone. They continue to send cheap attacks my way — spreading false headlines about me and putting my family at risk. Just this weekend, Tucker called me a “coward,” because I wouldn’t take his calls and let him explain why he thinks it’s okay to slander the cops who protected us when Trump-loyalists attacked the Capitol earlier this year… and to slander my wife.

John: These weren’t isolated incidents by right-wing extremists — these attacks are coming at me from the spokespeople of the Republican party. The GOP has launched a coordinated attack against me because of my fight to hold Republicans accountable.
