I wanted to update you on the work I’ve been doing here in Washington to help Long Island families:

* I introduced legislation to improve back seat safety in cars. This legislation would raise auto industry standards for back seat safety measures and protect millions of children on Long Island and across the country.

* I signed a letter alongside my colleagues urging President Biden to invest in national broadband access to help more American families participate in our national and global economy.

* The House passed a bill I co-authored to permanently authorize a facility to support first responders in New York and across the country.

* The first expanded Child Tax Credit as part of the American Rescue Plan arrived in the bank accounts of millions of American families, including over 100,000 children right here in NY-04!

It is an honor to work every day for Long Islanders in Congress. But if Democrats don’t hold the House majority in 2022, our capacity to make change will be greatly diminished. If you are able, I would greatly appreciate anything you could contribute to my re-election campaign to help me stay in Congress and keep the House blue in 2022.
