The Supreme Court will rule in its next term on a Mississippi law that bans most abortions. On Thursday, the state of Mississippi removed any doubt about the grave stakes of this case: the state officially asked the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Republicans blocked Merrick Garland's Supreme Court nomination and rushed through Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett for this exact chance to drastically roll back the right to choose. But if we muster political will and courage, we can act before the court rules.

Congress has the power to make Roe v. Wade the law of the land and federally protect a woman's right to an abortion. Jennifer knows that we need to make our voices heard today so that lawmakers respond to the urgency of the moment.
