Contact your representative and urge them to support access to medication abortion!

John,

Medication abortion is a safe, effective, and FDA-approved option for ending an early pregnancy — but medically unnecessary restrictions still create barriers for people trying to access this essential form of care. These restrictions disproportionately block people of color, LGBTQ+ people, disabled people, and people working to make ends meet from accessing the care they need.

Next month, Representative Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) will introduce a resolution in support of medication abortion access policies that are equitable and based in science. Now is the time to make our voices heard: We must follow the science and lift medically unnecessary restrictions on medication abortion so every body can access the care they need.

Urge your representative to cosponsor Rep. Maloney’s resolution in support of medication abortion care access!

In 2021, anti-choice extremists have already introduced, advanced, or passed more than 315 bills at the state level that undermine abortion access, including access to medication abortion.

And now, with the anti-choice supermajority on the Supreme Court set to hear Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the right to abortion is hanging in the balance. We must do everything possible to protect and expand access to abortion now — and that starts with getting rid of medically unnecessary and burdensome restrictions on medication abortion care.

Contact your representative and urge them to FOLLOW THE SCIENCE by signing on as a cosponsor of Rep. Maloney’s resolution on medication abortion!
