A few days ago, we saw a new report that predicted political ad spending in Maine to reach upwards of $75 million this cycle. I know this number sounds daunting, so I wanted to reach out and explain to you what this means for our campaign. I also wanted to personally ask you to chip in a few dollars to our $18,000 end-of-month goal so our team has the resources to combat the influx of spending that’s about to come into our district.

Just seven months after the last election, the GOP has already spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to put misleading TV ads against me in front of as many voters as possible, not to mention what they’ve run against me on digital and radio.

And after seeing this new report, we know that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

John, we can’t predict exactly what their next attack will be, or how far it’ll spread. But what we can do is put ourselves in the best position to push back against whatever they throw our way.
