I’m writing because I need your help staying on track to build up a campaign that can compete with Senator John Cornyn and WIN next November. I know the election is a ways away, but give me a minute and I’m going to explain why pitching in right now is so important.

Here’s the deal: I don’t have any corporate PACs pouring money into my campaign, hoping I’ll play nice with them once I’m Senator. I’m not taking their money because I will be accountable to the people, not special interests.

Senator Cornyn already aired the first TV ads of the campaign, thanks to the nearly $11 million war chest he amassed with lots of help from corporate PAC and special interest donors. He’s not going to hold back. This race is already well underway, and it’s clear it’s going to be a long and expensive one. We’ve got to be prepared to fight back.
That means I can’t win without you. Can I count on you to pitch in?
