OCTOBER 16, 2019: Thirty-nine percent (39%) of voters believe the United States is one of the best countries for African Americans to live in. A ScottRasmussen.com survey ([link removed]) found that 21% believe it is one of the worst while 40% place it somewhere in between.[1] ([link removed])
Among African American voters, just 22% believe it is one of the best countries to live in while 31% believe it is one of the worst. White voters see it much differently. By a 45% to 18% margin, they believe the United States is one of the best places in the world for African Americans to live.
Hispanic voters are evenly divided on the question—24% say best and 27% worst.
Earlier Numbers of the Day noted that 54% believe the U.S. is one of the best places in the world for women to live ([link removed]) . Forty-four percent (44%) say the nation is one of the best places for the Middle Class ([link removed]) .
