Back in 2019, Megan Thee Stallion declared that the summer would be known as “Hot Girl Summer.” This year, Sean is trying to do the same thing for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

Sean: “I rise today to recognize the start of hot FERC summer. Why, you might ask? Well, to paraphrase Miss Stallion: Because now that FERC has put in all that work, it’s time for them to be the MVP.”

Sean believes that FERC is the “single most important agency in terms of dealing with climate,” but not many people know about it.

FERC is the government body that regulates the transmission of energy, and it is critical to President Biden’s goal for the United States to run on 100% clean energy by 2035. Sean has also introduced two bills that would improve FERC processes, expediting the transition to cleaner energy.
