Are you or someone you know an emerging leader in the affordable housing industry? Are you interested in professional development while building connections and programming that support the affordable housing field? Then serving on the Emerging Leaders Peer Network (ELPN) Steering Committee or one of the Subcommittees might be the perfect fit for you! Learn more and apply.

Led and convened by NPH, ELPN is a cohort of affordable housing practitioners who work on a volunteer basis to create learning and networking opportunities for burgeoning housers.

Acronym Soup: An HCD Primer

Wednesday, August 4 (12 - 2:30pm PDT)

Join ELPN for a primer on the California Department of Housing and Community Development’s (HCD) underwriting, loan programs, and closing process. We will discuss the building blocks of the HCD Universal Multifamily Regulations (UMRs); review general, supportive, and transit-oriented HCD programs; and discuss what’s new at the Department.

Please note: Material will be most relevant for beginner and intermediate levels with some experience with HCD’s programs.

ELPN Mid-Year Party: Cocktail Shake Up!

Thursday, August 26 (5 - 6pm PDT)

ELPN is hosting it’s 2021 Mid Year Party: Cocktail Shake Up! You bring the ingredients, and they’ll show you how to make two signature prohibition-era inspired cocktails and/or mocktails! Join the party and get the chance to play games and network with your fellow housers. All attendees will be entered to win amazing prizes!
