But remember: Every single Republican voted “no” on the American Rescue Plan -- no to stimulus checks, no to tax cuts for working families, no to saving Americans’ pensions -- all of it. Every single Democrat voted yes.

If there’s one clear-cut example of why defending our Senate Majority is so critical, that’s it. And if there’s one example of why your contributions toward growing our grassroots organization for 2022 are so powerful, that’s it.

Mitch McConnell and Washington Republicans only need one seat to take back the Senate, and they have billionaire-backed candidates like J.D. Vance running for the open Ohio Senate seat. They will do everything in their power to reinstall their anti-worker agenda in Washington.

It’s up to all of us in our progressive movement to work together to elect more Democrats who will take on corporate interests and put workers first. 

And while the Trumps and Vances of the world spread their phony populism designed to enrich themselves and the top 1%, we can win by spreading our message of an authentic populism that lifts everyone up.
