We've made tremendous progress for working families this month.
On July 15th, after years of hard work to get it passed, the expanded Child Tax Credit payments went out to millions of families around the country.
It truly means so much to me to see how much parents and children have already benefited from this historic legislation. When the checks arrived, working families were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief because they had enough money to pay rent, buy groceries, or send their children to daycare.
That's why it's so important that we keep these payments coming, so no family has to struggle to afford food, rent, or other necessities.
Proud to have you with us in the fight for working families.
Now, let's continue making progress for parents and children everywhere by expanding the Child Tax Credit.
