This is concerning, John.

The UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies just released another poll in the Newsom recall. The race is narrowing.

47% of likely voters plan to recall Newsom, 50% plan to vote against the recall, and just 3% are undecided. It’s basically a dead heat when you account for the margin of error.

We have just a few short weeks until mail-in ballots drop and people start voting. Before we get out the vote, we need to double down on our grassroots fundraising efforts to show we have Gavin's back.

With the numbers narrowing, the road is not likely to get easier.

The poll may suggest that this recall is energizing Republican voters and being ignored by many Democrats. We need to sound the alarm and make sure the progress Newsom's made on our COVID and economic recovery is not reversed.

We know what will happen if we don't meet the mark on this goal: We lose California to a pro-Trump, anti-science candidate Republican. We can’t allow that.
