Dear Friends,
We are offering up two ways to connect to our acclaimed With Democrats Things Get Better presentation in the days ahead –our final live showing of July is this coming Friday at 2pm ET; and we’ve also just released a recording of our July 16th presentation (it was a good one!). If you want to catch With Dems, it lasts about 30 minutes and is full of useful data and analysis about American politics over the past 30 years. We also promise you will find it uplifting – it’s a great way to begin any weekend!
To learn more about the big arguments in With Dems start with our recently published analysis More Jobs Created in Biden's 5 Months Than Last 3 GOP Presidents Combined and an essay, The Case for Optimism, Rejecting Trump's Poisonous Pessimism. which was the basis of the earliest version of this presentation. We also strongly recommend reviewing David Leonhardt’s recent NYT essay "Why Are Republican Presidents So Bad for the Economy?" It makes very similar arguments to With Dems and has lots of terrific and useful charts.
Finally, Mike Tomasky’s rave review of With Dems in a recent Daily Beast column is a great read. Mike writes: “Simon Rosenberg heads NDN, a liberal think tank and advocacy organization. He has spent years advising Democrats, presidents included, on how to talk about economic matters. Not long ago, he put together a little PowerPoint deck. It is fascinating. You need to know about it. The entire country needs to know about it." We agree of course!
Hope you can connect with this great presentation soon. It is one of the best things we’ve ever produced at NDN.
Best,
Simon, Georgia, and the rest of the NDN Team
