John, can you
believe that this is even a real headline?
Well...it is. Texas' Republican-dominated state Senate is really out here eliminating requirements that teach the truth about the KKK. From their legacy of domestic terror, violence, and hate to their dedication to upholding white supremacist campaigns.
And that's not even all of it. Other curriculum cuts made include dropping the studies of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s “I Have a Dream” speech from the March on Washington, the works of United Farm Workers leader Cesar Chavez, and Native American history. It even eliminates the requirement that students be taught America's history of white supremacy, including but not limited to the institution of slavery and the eugenics movement.
These white supremacist legislators are the same ones that led to the attempted coup at our nation's capitol. These are the same people trying to ban critical race theory in schools. These are the same people working so hard to erase their own, shameful history.
White supremacy doesn't sleep John, and it's no coincidence they're working tirelessly to pass dangerous legislation like this one. We need to tackle this head-on by pooling all of our resources toward electing legislators on every level that are dedicated to Black liberation -- not white supremacy. Chip in to fuel our efforts >>

This is just one of the many racist bills that the Texas Senate passed in an effort to uphold white supremacy. And unfortunately, it won't be the last.
We've got to be prepared for the worst -- because bills
beyond the ones in Texas are in the works elsewhere, and will inspire legislators across the entire country to try and pass the same type of laws.
White supremacists can try all they want to erase the truth about their history -- but it's never been more clear.
It's over for white supremacy in politics. We showed up in record numbers for the 2020 elections, and we're already gearing up for the next. But combating white supremacy means having all the resources we need to do so. Chip in $5 or whatever you can so we're prepared.
