Governor DeWine Statement on Death of U.S. Senator Enzi of Wyoming

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)?Ohio Governor Mike DeWine issued the following statement on the death of U.S. Senator Mike Enzi of Wyoming:

"Fran and I were stunned and very saddened to learn of the death of our friend and my former colleague, U.S. Senator Mike Enzi of Wyoming.? Mike and I shared a lot in common, having both started our public service in local government, serving in our state legislatures, and, most notably, sharing a love for a good ice cream social!? I was honored to serve and work with him on the?Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.??

"Mike was a friend, characterized by his kindness and consideration.? He always had a smile and a 'Hello!' for everyone.? I remember the words he spoke to me on the Floor of the U.S. Senate, when I was departing: 'The most important part of our lives has to do with the strength of our faith, the bonds that tie our families together, and the friendships we develop along the way that help us to fully appreciate and enjoy all that life has to offer.'? Mike Enzi lived and embodied those words.??

"Fran and I extend our deepest condolences to Mike?s wife, Diana, and their children and grandchildren."
