Hey there,

In 1969, our nation banded together and sent a team of skilled, knowledgeable explorers to the moon.

In 2021, our nation muddled through unbelievable wealth inequality while a few out-of-touch billionaires lived out their space-explorer fantasies.

On Tuesday, Jeff Bezos jetted off to outer space in his private spacecraft, spending a total of eleven minutes outside our atmosphere before returning.

His trip to space was a slap in the face to American unity and scientific innovation. It was a vanity project for a man who has so much money he simply couldn't spend it on earth.

Space travel isn't the only thing that's changed since the moon landing. Today, the gap between the rich and the poor is massively bigger than it was in 1969, and the few hundred people at the top are paying less in taxes than ever.

Donald Trump's agenda of tax cuts for the rich only made the problem worse. Team, it's time to reverse that policy. We don't need a billionaire's private space program. We need to tax the rich.
