Last week, Edinburg, Texas, had the opportunity to join the growing list of Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn. Citizens for and against the sanctuary city resolution spoke at the city council meeting. While many Pro-Lifers calmly and fairly presented their opinions, the anti-Life mob literally screamed and called the city council members foul names.
Unfortunately, we are not surprised by the childish tactics of the anti-Life left. But despite their disrespect, these abortion proponents continue to have their way!
The city council declined to move forward with the resolution.

Located 25 miles from the US-Mexico border, Edinburg could have been the first town in South Texas to become a Sanctuary City for the Unborn. Even though South Texas has historically voted Democratic, these Texans are quickly voting more and more conservative.
Pro-Lifers should be encouraged by this ongoing political shift at the border. In the 2020 election, Republicans flipped 25% of the vote in the most Hispanic county in Texas and in America. This voting shift indicates that Hispanic voters, who are overwhelmingly Pro-Life, are the future of the Pro-Life movement.
We are saddened that the ordinance did not pass in Edinburg, a city with an 88% Hispanic population, but we know Edinburg and dozens of other South Texas towns are crucial in the election of Pro-Life candidates.
