Joe Biden Just Condemned America to More Chinese Espionage — and Worse ([link removed])
By Todd Bensman
National Interest, July 19, 2021
Excerpt: On the eve of plugging these national security holes, President Joe Biden has canceled the repair and instead bestowed a priceless gift on People’s Liberation Army intelligence services: continued American vulnerability. At issue are the 1.5 million cultural exchange “J” visas and the student “F” visas active in any given recent year. Almost without media notice, on July 6 the Biden Department of Homeland Security (DHS) withdrew a September 2020 regulation from the Federal Register that former President Donald Trump’s administration had proposed to relieve the espionage problem and many more besides, like foreign terrorist infiltration and immigration fraud.

The Biden Border Crisis Goes Global as Aliens Enter Illegally from Farther Away: There is no way to address purported “root causes” everywhere, so focus on the loopholes here ([link removed])
By Andrew R. Arthur
June’s border numbers reveal a grim reality: More aliens are coming from farther away to enter the United States illegally — a lot more. The Biden border disaster is going global, as increasing numbers of aliens who are not nationals of Mexico or the “Northern Triangle” countries of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras are exploiting the now-open border. The only way to stop them is to plug the loopholes in U.S. law that encourage illegal entry — not wasting money to address intractable “root causes” abroad.
A Closer Look at the DACA Ruling: Judge focuses on economic harm to Americans caused by illegal aliens working ([link removed])
By Robert Law
In addition to labor market harms, the court also found that DACA recipients are fiscal drains on healthcare, education, and social services offered by the state, citing the Biden administration’s own expert witnesses.
Inadmissible Aliens at the Southwest Border Ports Jump 30 Percent in June: Even more bad news in the latest CBP statistics ([link removed])
By Andrew R. Arthur
CBP encounters at the Southwest border rose to their highest level in at least a decade in June. While Border Patrol apprehensions accounted for much of that increase, the number of aliens deemed inadmissible at the border ports surged almost 30% over May’s totals. There could be various reasons for that increase — which the Biden administration should explain — but regardless, it spells even more trouble for a border already in turmoil.
Possible Paths to EB-5 Extension and Their Supporters on the Hill ([link removed])
By David North
While the EB-5 (immigrant investor) program is dead, for the moment at least, there are three possible legislative vehicles for reviving the program — none of which will involve anything as old fashioned as a committee hearing or a floor vote on the program.
