I’m writing to tell you about a war that is targeting our kids.

You’ve probably seen glimpses of this war. The cultural Left is selling American youth the devastating lie that a person’s sex is simply a social construct that can be changed at will. Your gift today will help protect our children from transgender medical experimentation.

The machine that is pushing this lie is massive and powerful. Public schools are teaching it, entertainment glorifies it and Big Tech amplifies it through the social media.

Kids are listening. And the results are devastating: 

• An estimated 150,000 American youth now identify as transgender.
• In 2007, there was one clinic in all of America that provided “sex-change” hormones to minors. Today, there are more than 50 clinics providing comprehensive” sex-change “services” specifically for children and adolescents – plus countless smaller clinics doling out cross-sex hormones to kids.
• Planned Parenthood’s new “cash cow” is prescribing and selling cross-sex hormones to girls seeking gender transition. 

But behind the shocking statistics are an endless string of individual tragedies. American kids are being sold a bill of goods. Instead of the fulfillment they are promised, they are left with infertility, irreversible damage to body parts and functions, worsened mental health and a lifetime of medical bills and regrets.

There is Hope… and a Path to Victory
Yet this is a battle that we not only must win, but we can win. In fact, the first victories have already been won.

Two years ago, Family Policy Alliance drafted the first legislation to prohibit sex-change surgeries and hormones for minors. After all, the list of far-lesser things that adolescents cannot legally do – such as smoke or drink alcohol – is long. How can they be allowed to consent to such life-altering decisions, especially when studies show that more than 80 percent will outgrow their gender confusion by the time they reach adulthood?

Last year, that legislation was introduced in a state legislature for the first time.

This year, a variation of that legislation passed! Arkansas state Rep. Robin Lundstrum, an alumnus of Family Policy Foundation’s Statesmen Academy, led the effort – along with our friends and allies at Little Rock-based Family Council. The opposition was intense, especially from the media and woke Big Business interests. But we won – even overriding a veto by the governor!

And already a second state (Tennessee) has followed Arkansas’ lead in banning sex-change drugs and procedures for minors.

How you can help!
The opportunity to spread these protections to other states is tremendous. But so are the needs to make that happen. Here’s what your help can do: 

• Equip and train state lawmakers. Your support will provide training materials to answer legislators’ questions and guide them in talking about this issue, especially those who are Statesmen Academy alumni.
• Tell the story to the public. This is an issue with many stories to tell. Teenagers who have “transitioned” and now regret it. Parents. Medical experts. Stories that are well-suited for high-quality videos to be produced and distributed. With adequate funding, we will also do polling to guide that communication.
• Mobilize pro-family citizens on battles in their states. Your donations will pay for mass mobilization of citizens to speak up to their legislators. It makes a difference!
