OK. So here’s why we have a real shot at flipping Pennsylvania’s Senate seat blue:
- Pat Toomey, the Republican currently holding this seat, is retiring — so this race is wide-open and ranked a “toss-up” by major news outlets. In other words, if we put in the work right now, we have an excellent chance.
- The last time this seat was up for election, Democrats were only 1.5 points away from winning. After President Biden’s win last fall, we’ve got some great momentum and our chances are even better.
- Val has the experience and determination to get things done in the U.S. Senate. She doesn’t BS her way out of a problem — she puts in the work to fix it. It’s the approach she’s taken as a physician and as Chair of the third-largest county in the Commonwealth to make life better for workers and families. And it’s the approach she’d take in the U.S. Senate.
But she’s counting on our help to get there — especially as Senate Republicans have raked in $51.2 million that they’ll spend trying to defeat Democrats like Val and take back the majority.
