Hey there!

July has flown by in a flash, so we're here to catch you up to speed on all the latest updates on Andy's work in Congress and our growing movement for civility and service in NJ-03.

1: The Latest Updates from DC and The Hill:
+ On July 1, the House passed the INVEST in America Act, including investments in New Jersey's infrastructure that Andy championed. It's now in the Senate.
+ Six months after he wore it while cleaning trash left behind by January 6th's insurrectionists, Andy donated his “blue suit” to the Smithsonian. Andy strongly supports the bipartisan select committee to uncover the full truth of what happened that day. Those hearings begin this Tuesday.
+ On July 15, many New Jersey families got their first Child Tax Credit payments, which will continue through the end of the year. Andy's committed to making that tax relief permanent for working and lower-income families who need it.
+ Andy also introduced or helped advance new legislation to cap prescription drug prices for seniors, boost local construction hiring, and raise awareness of the dangers of synthetic opioids.
+ The House Energy and Commerce Committee approved H.R. 2364, the Synthetic Opioid Danger Awareness Act. Andy introduced and led this bill that, if passed, would direct the CDC to launch a public awareness campaign around the dangers of synthetic opioids.

2: Our First Opponent, and Growing Our Ground Game in NJ-03:
+ Andy celebrated his 39th birthday on July 12, and the celebrations were made extra sweet by all the well wishes that he got from supporters like you.
+ Tricia Flanagan, Andy's first declared GOP opponent, launched her campaign with a video full of race-baiting and misinformation. Andy called her out on her scare tactics, and called on everyone to focus on civility and service.
+ We launched our Ground Game Fund to support the robust, record-breaking field operation we know is necessary to hold NJ-03 and the House majority.
+ The NRCC announced that they broke their own record: outraising Democrats by $9 million last quarter. As one of their top targets, Andy knows they'll spend much of that new money trying to buy back his seat in Congress.

Whether they back Tricia Flanagan or one of the other three likely GOP contenders who have yet to announce, we can't afford to let the NRCC keep their cash advantage. As one of only seven Democrats who represents a district that also voted for Trump, Andy is at the top of their list for the five seats they'll need to flip to retake the House.

Right now, with less than a week to go until our next end-of-month deadline, we're still $4,173 short of our grassroots fundraising goal. Will you pitch in $50, $25, $10, or any amount you can right now to help us close that gap with the NRCC ? >> [link removed]

Your continued support is what fuels our grassroots movement. Together, we won't just hold this seat and protect the House. We'll refocus our politics on the civility and service our nation needs to build a brighter tomorrow together.

Thanks for everything you're doing to help make that happen -- we couldn't do any of this without you!

Team Kim
