Hey John — I’m Jack. I started working with Cori during her campaign in 2020 and now I help lead her communications team.
Even before Cori was elected to Congress — it was clear that white supremacists were threatened by her mission to save Black lives and lift up the voices of working people.
Every day, our office receives hundreds of messages that range from threats on Cori’s life, to racist attacks about her activist work. We sent an email to you last week that shows just some examples of the white supremacist violence Cori and our office experience every day.
I’m forwarding it to you today to make sure you see the challenges we’re up against and to remind you that Cori needs our support more than ever to continue pushing for urgent change in our communities to save Black lives.
I hope after reading this email you will chip in $5 or whatever you can afford to power Cori’s organizing and legislating work in Congress. Our fundraising has recently dipped and we can’t afford to show the GOP that their racist, divisive agenda is hurting our movement.

Ever since Cori was elected to Congress, white supremacists have been furious at our movement to save Black lives and have made countless violent threats on Cori’s life.
Today, we want to show you just a few examples of the threats and racist messages our office receives EVERY day.
We receive thousands of these messages every week. Just know: They won’t stop us. They can’t.
But the rise in attacks on Cori these past weeks has made it even more clear to us that as we make progress in our work to deliver justice and freedom for all — white supremacists plan on fighting harder than ever to slow down our movement. Cori needs our support more than ever to overcome these wave of attacks:
John, we know that these messages are jarring to read.
But we think it’s important you understand what we’re up against in our mission to save Black lives in Congress. Since Cori’s first day in office the GOP, Fox News, and every right-wing media group has made Cori a top target of their false, racist attacks — and it’s only been getting worse.
They know that leaders like Cori post a threat to the status quo. They know that Cori ran on a promise to legislate in defense of Black lives. And they know that the people-powered movement Cori is growing threatens their white supremacist agenda.
We’re determined to show everyone that we will not be intimidated by these attacks. We will not back down in our mission to dismantle systemic racism in America and pass transformative policies that lift ALL of our families up.
But to be honest with you, fundraising has slowed down lately and we haven’t been receiving as many grassroots donations as we usually do. It makes us concerned especially when we see the rise of attacks being made against Cori.
