Hakeem Jeffries for the People

John xxxxxx,

Let’s be clear: housing is infrastructure.

For far too long, New Yorkers and Americans across the country have struggled to maintain one of life’s most basic needs: a place to live and call home.

As our society begins to rebuild from COVID-19, we’re seeing soaring rent prices in New York and across the country.

Now more than ever, the American people need access to affordable housing.

We can’t wait any longer to act — that’s why I will keep fighting to make sure affordable housing is a key part of the next infrastructure package.

But we must keep up the public pressure. If you want Congress to include funding for more affordable housing in the infrastructure package, sign your name next to mine.

Democrats are working hard to pass a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill — as well as a $3.5 trillion budget to advance the Biden Administration’s economic agenda, rebuild America’s physical infrastructure, and invest in the basic underpinnings of our economy, like affordable housing.

By creating more affordable housing units and expanding housing vouchers, we can ensure hard-working Americans have access to the infrastructure they need.

In the words of President Biden, it’s time to build back better.

Sign my petition today to show your support for expanded affordable housing options. The time to act is now.
