Dear John,

For the first time in decades, the federal spending bill made it out of the House Appropriations Committee without the anti-abortion Hyde and Weldon amendments. This means we are one step closer to a final federal spending bill without these abortion restrictions!

Soon, the full House will vote on the federal spending bill. Some politicians will try to block this progress—we cannot let that happen.
Tell Congress To Pass a Spending Bill Without Hyde and Weldon [[link removed]]

Congress should vote to pass the congressional spending bill without these two anti-abortion restrictions.

TAKE ACTION [[link removed]]

We have waited more than 40 years for a spending bill that protects reproductive health care and does not include the Hyde and Weldon amendments. Passing this bill will get us closer to a more equitable society, free from these barriers to abortion care. But don’t just take it from us—here is a great quote from one of the leaders in Congress who fought to make this happen.

[link removed] [[link removed]]We must keep the pressure on Congress to pass a spending bill that does not include the Hyde or Weldon amendments. Our commitment to achieving economic, racial, and gender equality in this country means that there should be no barriers to abortion.

Tell Congress to pass a spending bill free of the Hyde and Weldon amendments. [[link removed]]

Sincerely,
