I’ll be straightforward, folks: In a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution before we close the books on our July fundraising. But first, let me explain why your donation is so important right now.

Democrats have been hard at work in the Senate.

We’ve delivered pandemic relief for workers and families, including the enhanced monthly Child Tax Credit that just hit bank accounts and will support 60 million children nationwide.

We’re negotiating infrastructure and reconciliation packages that could allow us to take meaningful action on climate, invest in universal early childhood education, and expand wildlife conservation efforts.

We’re fighting for policies that will make the lives of workers and families better right now.

I wish I could say the same for Senate Republicans.

Every single one voted against the Child Tax Credit and the entire American Rescue Plan. They are dragging their feet on infrastructure negotiations. Many continue to deny the reality of climate change, even as unprecedented extreme weather events happen right before their eyes. And they’ve repeatedly abused the filibuster to block legislation folks are counting on.

But the most concerning part is that Republicans are just one seat away from taking back the Senate. Imagine the damage they could do if they get that power back. Imagine the progress they could reverse. Mitch McConnell is betting on it.

That’s why I’m counting on your help to do everything we can to protect our wins, strengthen our majorities in both houses of Congress, and deliver on our promises to our country.
