Tucker has been an insidious influence on our nation’s democratic values — but if that wasn’t enough, he has personally attacked my wife and family.

John — Tucker Carlson texted me Friday.

He asked me to give him a quick call. It probably had to do with one of my tweets last week, calling him out for slandering a hero cop who risked his life protecting the Capitol on January 6. Who knows.

Tucker has been an insidious influence on our nation’s democratic values by questioning the outcome of the 2020 election, and on our public health by sowing absurdist doubts about the COVID-19 vaccines — but if that wasn’t enough, he has personally attacked my wife and family.

Bullies hate people standing up to them. So when I explained to Tucker why I was hesitant to do him the favor of getting on the phone after all that, he texted back calling me a “coward.”

We need to keep standing up to bullies. Whether it’s Marjorie Taylor Greene, Mo Brooks, Tucker Carlson, or the countless other GQP cronies. I promise you I will never back down from their attacks: whether they come at me on the House floor, in far-right media, or yes, even texted right to my iPhone.

If you stand with me, will you pitch in a donation today to show Tucker and the rest of the GQP that we aren’t backing down? I’m dropping my personal ActBlue link below if you can contribute:

Appreciatively,
— Eric
