Friend,

Big Tech companies have the power to sway elections, destroy competition and take advantage of consumers. These powers should never be in the hands of just a handful of companies, and yet, for nearly two decades, we have allowed them to grow unchecked, flouting antitrust laws along the way.

One bill would stop large tech firms from acquiring startups in order to avoid competition, as Facebook did with Instagram and Whatsapp. Another bill would force tech companies to sell off any part of their business that might create a conflict of interest. Yet another would stop companies from giving their own services preferential treatment over their competitors. Another raises merger filing fees making it more costly for Big Tech companies to grow through acquisitions.

The final, and perhaps the most feared of the bills under consideration, is the Ending Platform Monopolies Act. If passed, it would prohibit tech giants from selling their product lines on the platforms they own and control — likely forcing them to shed the assets.

We can no longer sit back and watch as these companies continue to participate in anti- competitive behavior. Big Tech must be reined in, or we will all continue to pay the price.

Sign the petition and tell Congress you support legislation to reduce the power of Big Tech companies.
