Hi John,

On July 1st, citizens of Virginia and Illinois saw yet another substantial increase in their gas prices. Both states passed legislation in recent years that would see an increase in the tax consumers pay on gas — thanks to liberal leadership. These increases are adding up. Illinois consumers are likely to pay up to $105 extra in gas taxes per year, while Virginians were expected to pay $200 more in gas taxes per year when the full increase was implemented.

As people are still trying to find their footing after enduring a pandemic, liberal-run states are not letting up from their assault on Americans’ pocketbooks. While liberals continue to increase taxes on everyday necessities like gas, conservative-led states are providing tax breaks for individuals and small businesses alike.

Sincerely,

Matt
