Day in and day out, we work to ensure that members of Congress understand the importance of the U.S.-Israel alliance.
This month, we once again saw our hard work pay off when the House Appropriations Committee passed important pro-Israel provisions in different funding bills that will increase U.S.-Israel cooperation and help grow the relationship to new heights.
Some of the key provisions recently passed include:
$4 million for U.S-Israel health cooperationthat will help keep both countries healthier.
$6 million for increased U.S.-Israel energy cooperationthat will enhance our renewable energy technologies and help protect our critical energy infrastructure.
$2 million to expand U.S.-Israel cooperationin the developing world to address growing challenges related to water scarcity, agriculture and energy storage.
$2 million for U.S.-Israel homeland security cooperation, including maritime security, biometrics, cybersecurity and video analytics.
Each of these bipartisan initiatives strengthens and expands the U.S.-Israel relationship…which helps keep Israelis safe. But our work with Congress would not happen without the investment and support from AIPAC members like you.
In the weeks and months ahead, we must be ready to work with the full House and Senate to ensure that the measures above—as well as $3.3 billion in security assistance to Israel and $500 million for U.S.-Israel missile defense cooperation for fiscal year 2022—are voted into law.
If you support a safe and secure Israel, and if you believe in the importance of a strong U.S.-Israel alliance, then one of the most important things you can do is invest in the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
