The Torrey Action Fund serves as a tribute to Dr. Torrey and as a way of sustaining our work and financing projects we otherwise could not undertake. This year, we are committing every Torrey Action Fund dollar to supporting families in crisis as they attempt to navigate the broken mental health care system.
With your support, we are elevating the focus on mental illness reform and fulfilling Dr. Torrey’s mission of creating a functioning mental health system that is dedicated to helping those with even the most severe mental illness.
As a part of our ongoing commitment to families, we will spend the next year working to better organize and execute grassroots advocacy in specific communities in need of better outreach and representation in the advocacy world, creating direct lines of communication with local advocates who are working to better the lives of individuals with and affected by severe mental illness.
