Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao's disproportionate number of meetings with Kentucky officials are very troubling.
It is even more disconcerting that Chao's husband and Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, was touting articles related to these favors on his campaign social media.
Secretary Chao works for all of the American people – not just her husband's constituents. I will not stand by while taxpayers are being taken advantage of.
That's why I've demanded that the Department of Transportation's inspector general audit these alleged favors. We will shine light on the dark corners of corruption connected to President Trump and the widespread self-dealing of his political appointees.
