Shoppers Drug Mart has “delisted” Adbusters and removed all copies of our mag from its 1,300 stores nationwide. ([ Check out our press release ]( [link removed] ).)

And for what? An unspecified number of complaints about a couple of photos of cows being slaughtered and a few offending “fucks.” See them for yourself [ here ]( [link removed] ).

“I don’t think Canada’s biggest newsstand distributor should be censoring content,” says Adbusters founder Kalle Lasn. “Canadian magazine readers deserve better.”

As you know, we accept no advertising or corporate sponsorships. We rely entirely on newsstand sales and subscriptions. So this one was a heavy blow, so say the least.

We’re calling on you, our supporters, to rebuke the company in the bottom-line language it understands.

Do one of these two things:
[ ]( # ) Boycott all Shoppers Drug Mart stores nationwide using the hashtag #BoycottShoppers.
[ ]( # ) Walk into a Shoppers near you and ask, “Where’d Adbusters go?!” Ask for us to be put back onto its shelves. Enough formal requests and it’ll send a message up to corporate: the Canadian people won’t stand for a corporate speech-police!
