We’re building call scripts, launching webpages, and more to deliver powerful, transformative legislation on all our progressive priorities Indivisibles,
We’re still hard at work on our plans to pass the For the People Act (S. 1) before the Senate leaves for August recess -- and 17 Indivisible Georgia groups got a letter entered into the record of the Senate Rules Committee demanding just that! From the organizers working directly with local groups to call for action, to the policy research, recruitment, and more that we’re doing to keep activists informed and engaged, we’re throwing tons of resources into passing the For the People Act as our top priority over the next few weeks, and we’re seeing it pay off.
And it’s not just S. 1. We’re watching ongoing recovery efforts closely, and seeing exactly what we predicted in the most recent Indivisible Guide: Republican obstruction at every turn. Just two days ago, every single GOP Senator voted against starting debate on the “bipartisan” infrastructure package that they demanded! Their bad-faith “negotiations'' and time-wasting nonsense just won’t cut it. So we’re building call scripts, launching webpages, and more to push Senate Democrats to deliver powerful, transformative legislation on democracy, recovery, and all our other progressive priorities.
From climate to immigration to democracy to the recovery package, we’re using the power of this movement to drive calls to Senate offices, hold one of the biggest congressional recess mobilizations we’ve ever seen (#DeadlineForDemocracy), recruit new activists across the country, and more, all to make sure we win before it’s too late. And we depend on grassroots donors to fund the newspaper ads, websites, calls tools, and more that make that work possible. Please, donate $10 to fund our $710,000 democracy reform campaign, our advocacy on recovery, and all our other progressive work this year:

From their efforts to stall on recovery to their bad-faith defenses of the Jim Crow filibuster, it’s undeniable that Republicans simply aren’t interested in governing in the interests of the people -- just in stopping Democrats from doing anything. But they lost, and it’s time for us to govern. That’s why our efforts to unrig our democracy and pass bold legislation are so important.
This movement is all about mobilizing people, and every new effort we make brings us that much closer to victory. We’re glad to have you on our side for all of it.
In solidarity, Indivisible Team
