John,
Quarterly fundraising reports were made public last week after the second FEC filing deadline of 2021, and they show House Republicans turning the tides with dominating fundraising performances over Democrats.
Here’s a deeper dive into those fundraising numbers and what they mean:
$8 million: The NRCC, the GOP arm tasked with protecting GOP incumbents and flipping the House red, are outraising their Democratic counterpart by $8 million. House Republicans, who were at a steep fundraising deficit at this point last cycle, have swung the pendulum in their favor.
43: The number of Republicans who raised more than $500,000 last quarter, which is more than a dozen more than those who had at this point last cycle. Their strong fundraising performance coincides with their nationwide effort to flip the House red.
$14.1 million: The amount of money the NRCC has raised this year online — from digital ads and emails just like this one. Republicans have picked up a surge of grassroots momentum, and we’ll need your help to match them if we want to protect our majority in 2022.
Republicans have the upper hand so far, but it’s not too late to reverse course and catch up to protect our single-digit seat advantage in the House.
Will you chip in to help Barbara and House Democrats keep pace with surging Republicans so we can keep the House blue in 2022 and protect all the progress we’ve made?
