We hate to bother you over the weekend, but we have some not-so-great news to share: We crunched the numbers, and it looks like we aren’t on track to hit our July fundraising goal next week.

To be honest, this budget issue is coming at a bad time. Senate Republicans raised $28 million last quarter and have already started launching attacks on vulnerable Democrats.

If we are going to compete with the GOP’s network of megadonors and protect our Senate majority, we need to catch up on our goals — quickly. And we rely on your support to do that because John will never beg wealthy billionaires or corporate PACs to cut him a check.
