BREAKING: EWG Calls for Safer Standards on Cellphone Radiation

EWG just released a new study on cellphone radiation. Here’s what you need to know:

1. The FCC last set standards for cellphone radiation in 1996, before Google, Wi-Fi or the iPhone came into existence!
2. Since then, the World Health Organization has classified radiofrequency radiation exposure as possibly carcinogenic, and recent studies raise concerns about the impact of cellphone radiation on learning, memory, sleep and children’s brain development.
3. Now EWG has released health-protective radiation guidelines that are 20 to 40 times lower than the FCC’s for adults and 200 to 400 times lower for kids!

Wireless devices like cellphones and tablets rely on radiofrequency radiation to transmit signals. This type of radiation has been linked to brain cancer, emotional and hyperactivity disorders in kids, and migraines. The World Health Organization categorizes radiofrequency radiation as possibly carcinogenic to humans.

Although more research is essential, it’s clear the FCC needs to take steps to better protect our health and kids from radiofrequency radiation. Can we count on you to add your name to our petition today?
