Friend,

Sana’s home is New York.

Sana is a tech innovation designer, a New Yorker, and a Pakistani Muslim woman who immigrated to the United States from Saudi Arabia when she was 14 years old.

Sana is also one of the 27 DACA recipients who have fearlessly shared their stories in our amicus brief to be heard by the Supreme Court on November 12.

Her story is the second video of a series of biographies, featured in our UWD stories amicus brief. We’ve submitted these videos to the court to show them why DACA is needed - because our #HomeIsHere.

Sana’s family experienced deportation proceedings first-hand when her brother was racially profiled because of his skin color and his name. With DACA, Sana’s mental and emotional health has improved, it has allowed her to speak up for others, and even take care of her family.

Our video series captures the journeys, struggles, and successes of United We Dream members from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Mexico, and elsewhere who now live in Florida, Oregon, Illinois, Maryland, California, and across the nation. So, first, we need everyone to watch Sana’s powerful testament on how DACA radically changed the course of her life.

Then, we need voices from all across the country to call on the Supreme Court to do what’s right and protect DACA recipients and all immigrant communities. Share our videos. Share our stories.

Our #HomeIsHere.
