Dear John,

We’ve been committed to raising the profile of population and our collective impact on Earth since 1991 - to be specific, since 24 July 1991 - exactly 30 years ago!

Today is Population Matters' birthday and though a cynic might consider it counter-intuitive for us to celebrate when the number of people on our planet continues to grow, that cynic would be ignorant of our unerring dedication to help create a better world for people everywhere, and the positive difference we are making... continue reading our birthday blog.

More people than ever before now support our mission, receive our messages, and add their voices to our efforts and actions. You are one of those dedicated individuals who has joined this movement for real change and we're extremely grateful.

Over the next 30 years, we promise to continue campaigning for essential political and individual action because we believe that by doing so, it is possible to solve all our environmental problems. If you have hope and believe this too, please consider donating to our anniversary appeal today (if you haven't already done so). Together, we can capitalise on everything we have achieved so far and the growing, global momentum for positive change.
