President Trump is actively abusing the power of the presidency to accept payments from foreign governments. I'm suing Trump to hold him accountable for his corruption – and it's clear we're getting under his skin. Just take a look at his ranting and raving at a recent campaign rally:

President Trump, there is no need to yell. I am happy to help define the word for you.

An emolument (noun) is any profit, gain or advantage.

Used grammatically in a sentence: The Constitution of the United States forbids you from receiving foreign emoluments without asking Congress for approval.

While he may not understand the word, he is all too familiar with the concept. His acceptance of payments and benefits from foreign leaders is in direct violation of our Constitution, and it's long past time he was brought to justice.

Not only is the acceptance of foreign emoluments unconstitutional – it's also a threat to the safety and security of our nation. This arrangement encourages foreign leaders to consider making payments at a Trump hotel or resort as an attempt to win favor with the administration and push their own agendas. Or even to help deliver information on an opponent in the 2020 presidential election...

The first priority of the President of the United States should always be, without a shadow of a doubt, protecting and serving the best interests of the American people. President Trump's unlawful business dealings and outrageous, regal attitude make it clear that he will always prioritize his own profits over the well-being of our country. I won't let up in the fight to hold him accountable, but I need you with me.
