Folks --

I'm taking the stage in a bit for tonight's Democratic presidential debate in Ohio, but first, I wanted to ask you for a donation to my campaign. Let me level with you:

Every day my campaign has to work harder, raise more money, and debunk baseless lies just to keep up with Trump's attacks, both online and offline.

So that takes away from the budget to hire staff, open offices, and make the crucial investments we need to win this thing in the first place.

But, my team set a goal to raise 15,000 donations today. This will not only send a message to Trump while I'm on that stage, but it will also replenish any funds that we have to spend taking the fight to him and not getting out our message to Democratic voters.

I'll be checking in with my team about donations, so please, will you chip in $5 or more before I leave the stage tonight?
