Growing up, my parents couldn't give me a trust fund or debt-free college – but they gave me something worth a heck of a lot more. They taught me about seeing work to be done and doing it, and about treating people with respect.

I’ve seen those same values in communities across Iowa. When I was elected to Congress, I brought those lessons with me. But the politicians who’ve been there for decades don’t really want people like us around. They think they own democracy – and they were silent while it was attacked.

I'm running for U.S. Senate because this democracy is ours – and it's ours to protect. We have to build the most unstoppable grassroots movement to win in Iowa and defeat Sen.
