Dear allies,
With our country seeing another increase in COVID-19 cases – especially in Massachusetts – we need to ensure that frontline workers, low-income communities, and communities of color are not sidestepped (again) in the fight for protection and for equitable resources. The pandemic has exposed countless inequalities faced by Black and brown communities, health care workers, child care workers, hospitality workers, grocery workers, etc.
Now, workers and community groups who continued to keep our communities going during the pandemic are calling on the Massachusetts legislature to use the American Rescue Plan funding responsibly and for the benefit of those disproportionately impacted by the pandemic — not large corporations. Join us on July 27 at the State House or online via Facebook to demand that the estimated $5.3 billion that Massachusetts is slated to receive is distributed equitably to those most impacted by the pandemic.
