John,

As Lieutenant Governor of Illinois, I understand just how important it is that we support the elected officials who are steadfast champions for our state--like Senator Dick Durbin. Our communities depend on advocates like him to fight for our families and our values in D.C.

From his leadership in the fight for criminal justice reform, to his passionate pursuit of common sense gun safety legislation, to his consistent dedication to defending affordable health care and lowering prescription drug costs for all Americans, Senator Durbin keeps on showing up for us when it counts--now let's show up for him and support his campaign in this critical moment.

Senator Durbin needs us to stand with him now. Can you contribute $5 now to help keep him fighting for all of us in the U.S. Senate?

Senator Durbin and his wife Loretta were early mentors who helped encourage me to get into politics. Their support was instrumental in my first election as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives and again in 2018 when I became the first African-American elected Lieutenant Governor of Illinois.

Senator Durbin is an inspiration to me because he is the definition of a public servant. Through his years of dedication to Illinois and our nation, he has demonstrated how to lead, make progress, and solve the real issues impacting our families.

I'm proud to support Senator Durbin--I hope you'll join me in doing everything we can do to keep him fighting for us in the U.S. Senate.

Pitch in $5 to show your support for Senator Durbin's campaign now.
