As Ras travels across Iowa to hear from people about what they want and need from our state government, it’s clear that under current leadership, many feel like Iowa is moving backwards.

Just take a look at these three things Governor Kim Reynolds has prioritized recently:

She sent Iowa state troopers to the southern U.S. border on the taxpayers’ dime, instead of investing in things like our state’s schools and infrastructure.

She signed a bill making it harder for Iowans to vote by shortening early voting periods and cutting election day voting hours.

Rather than support our public schools, she signed a bill making it easier for groups to form charter schools without approval from local school boards.

If you agree that Iowa needs new leadership to move our state forward, pitch in here.

These actions don’t serve the best interests or meet the basic needs of the people of Iowa — they only serve an increasingly extreme political agenda that fails Iowans.

As Iowa’s next Governor, Ras will be bold about the basics: he plans to fully fund our public schools so they’re once again #1 in the nation, make it easier for voters to make their voices heard, and create more good-paying jobs so every Iowan can thrive.

Next year, we can replace Governor Reynolds and her broken political agenda with a leader for the people, but it requires putting in the work today. Can you chip in $10 or more to support Ras ahead of our July 31 fundraising deadline?
