Last year, we all saw how devastatingly effective Republicans were at derailing the campaigns of moderate House Democrats. They spread sensationalized stories and malicious falsehoods across the internet. Those lies spread like wildfire, costing us 14 Democratic seats.
It was clear to us and the House Democrats who lost their seats that we needed to develop an airtight strategy to avoid the same fate in 2022. Because right now, Republicans only need five seats to take over the House. We cannot let that happen - they are too dangerous. And that's where Shield PAC comes in.
Shield PAC has one goal—and it's an ambitious one. We're working to protect our democracy by going after Republican misinformation at the source and shielding vulnerable House Democrats from nasty attacks and smear campaigns.
What we're doing at Shield PAC is absolutely essential if we want to protect those five seats and keep our House majority, and it's imperative that we have the tools we need to succeed. The only way to fight lies is with the truth—and we need you to help defend democracy with us.
