Last month, Dave celebrated Juneteenth

On June 18th, Dave joined the Kent County celebration of the end of enslavement in the United States. He had an opportunity to speak with many of the residents of Kent County about how far we’ve come as a district and country, but also about the challenges still facing so many black and brown Americans today. In Congress, Dave will dedicate much of his energy towards creating a more free and equal society for all Marylanders and Americans.

Dave got back to his roots

Dave also had an opportunity to have a meeting with voters in Carroll County about the issues that they’re facing in their fire station. This is the type of environment that Dave thrives most in. Getting down to the business of discussing the struggles families in our district are experiencing and how we can get to solving them in Congress is what Dave is passionate about. And what better place to do that than right across the street from Dave’s childhood elementary school!?

Dave is better-equipped than anyone else to represent our district because he grew up here. He knows the people, he knows the issues, and he will do everything in his power to solve them.

🎆Finally, Dave celebrated our independence!🎆

On the Fourth of July, Dave spent the day in Rock Hall. He spoke with supporters, introduced himself to the community, and, of course, took part in the Fourth of July parade!

We were proud to have Dave and our team taking part in this celebration, especially since it served as a reminder of how much we’ve overcome in the past year with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was also wonderful to celebrate the uniqueness and greatness of our Republic, while also remembering how much work we have yet to do to realize our nation’s highest ideals.

As we conclude our first Newsletter, we want to give a big shout-out to our supporters who have already given so much time, energy, and hard-earned money to this campaign. Your positive impact on Dave and our campaign in just the first couple months out on the trail have made a world of difference and we can’t thank you enough.

There is so much more work to do before we’re able to send Dave to Washington in November 2022, but we’re excited to have you with us on the journey.
