Across the country, more families can now put food on their table, pay their bills, or buy shoes and notebooks for the new school year thanks to the expanded Child Tax Credit that started hitting bank accounts on July 15.
Together with her fellow Democrats, Mary Gay fought to expand the Child Tax Credit as part of the American Rescue Plan. But that expansion is only temporary, through the end of this year, and Mary Gay knows we need to extend this relief for our low-income and working families for years to come.
