"So, Mr. McCarthy just simply has no credibility. I have every confidence that Chairman Bennie Thompson, and this terrific, already partly populated select committee will do the work that needs to be done. Too bad it wasn't the independent commission. We still have the opportunity to do that if these leaders would stand up and actually lead."

Mad is fighting for federal voting protections.
"We have to have a federal legislative fix and we have to figure out politically how we get around the filibuster," said Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-Pa.), vice-chair of the House Judiciary Committee. In Dean’s home state of Pennsylvania, Republican state legislators are now calling for an Arizona-style audit of the 2020 election results
